PPG-20 Methyl Glucose Ether is a non-ionic, multi-functional humectant, emollient, and fragrance fixative derived from natural glucose. It is widely used in high-end personal care, skincare, fragrance, and cosmetic formulations due to its excellent amphiphilic solubility, viscosity-reducing and foam-boosting properties, as well as its anti-freeze and freeze-thaw resistance characteristics.

1. High-Efficiency Moisturizing & Emolliency
Polyol Moisturization: Features a polyhydroxy structure with strong water-locking capabilities, providing a silky, non-sticky skin feel.
Glycerin / Propylene Glycol Alternative: Reduces the heaviness associated with traditional humectants and enhances skin freshness.
2. Viscosity Reduction & Foam Boosting (Core for Wash-off Care)
Surfactant Viscosity Control: Maintains good fluidity for shampoos and shower gels across a temperature range of 0–40 °C.
Mild Foam Boosting & Stabilizing: Creates denser, longer-lasting foam.
3. Anti-Freeze & Freeze-Thaw Resistance
Freezing Point Depression: Significantly lowers the freezing point of formulations, preventing thickening or clumping during winter storage.
4. Fragrance Fixation & Solubilization
