Product Properties
SUCROSE MONOLAURATE laurate appears as a milky-white waxy solid and is readily soluble in ethanol and acetone. As a non-ionic surfactant, it features a hydrophilic sucrose moiety and a lipophilic long-chain fatty acid moiety. The hydrophilic-lipophilic balance is tunable based on esterification degree: a higher monoester content enhances hydrophilicity, while elevated diester and triester levels increase lipophilicity. It exhibits low irritation to eyes and skin, is non-toxic, readily biodegradable, and demonstrates excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties.
